I’m Matt (Matthys) le Roux — the founder of Open Air Talk. I help people speak with greater clarity and confidence, and handle the conversations that actually shape their work and relationships.
I hold a degree in English and Psychology and a Diploma in Higher Education. I’ve worked as a teacher, a platoon commander during conscription, a college lecturer, and a veteran software developer. Along the way I ran adult literacy classes and spent years in cubicles and boardrooms.
Listening to diluted language and communication failures became a familiar experience. So did the rarer moments when people managed to exchange real meaning. I took careful notes throughout. I still do.
